Jesse clearly has beef with Barack, as indicated in the rage of his comments and hand jesture while at Fox. I don't agree that government involvement is necessary for us to solve the problems in our community. I believe black folks can do it for themselves, no hand-outs. History has shown us to be creative and resourceful. It a matter of pride and self-determination.

As long as African Americans have leaders propogating the fact that the black community is automatically two steps behind (i.e. thinking they are living in a "white man's world") then nothing will ever change. If the prision population is 40% black, that doesn't require government intervention, it requires that we as African Americans start to take responsibility for our actions.

i agree this interview was too soft on him. there was not much discussion of the Obama comment or the n-word. i understand that it's likely due to just trying to get past the situation. still i think it just made other groups not respect our leaders more because we still appear divided as a people including our leadership. all i can do is shake my head wondering if we will ever learn as a people to just come together even when disagree. disagree in private and work it out so that we stand united in public...progress people p

@ Michael:
Right on Michael! He tried to use the race card to circumvent the issue... But clearly based on these posts his people should be recommending find something else to do.

Why as we as Black People always making excuses for ourselves? I grew up in the,"Hood" raised by my mother. I graduated High School, joined the Marines, went to school and graduated from UPENN with a Master's in Business Management. I made it and was taught to respect people, not like these thugs today who show disrespect to everyone else, and embarrass our people as a whole. When are we going to stop blaming the white man for our problems and take responsibility???
